I actually have many more images of this fascinating geological area of Southern Portugal known as the Algarve. I have been staying with friends over a four year period and these image were originally intended for a very short run Limited Edition book of the area from Faro, to Carvoeiro, Lagos, Portimao to Sagres on the South West tip. The soft sandstone rock erodes easily and the seas of the Atlantic Ocean carve easily into the land, creating huge steep cliffs and surreal rock formations.
