'The City Green' Liverpool City Centre

It was quite a surprise to see that the huge crescent shaped steps at Liverpool One, had been ‘greened’. I loved it. It was now a huge interactive artwork sculpture and it softened the acres of concrete and brick in this modern urban environment.

OK, it’s not real grass, and this is miles from nature, but I was surprised at how easily I accepted it, and wanted to go and sit on the steps with everyone else and feel a sense of relief from concrete surroundings.
